EXCLUSIVE: Idaho Veteran Says Deputy Threatened to Shoot Him On Private Property – The Whalen Report

A routine call to law enforcement. A private driveway. A confrontation that one Rathdrum couple says changed their lives forever.

In this exclusive interview, Rick and Carol Morasi share their accounting of a February 2024 encounter with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office that they say escalated from a trespassing complaint to deputies allegedly pointing a firearm at his chest and threatening to shoot a military veteran. His wife describes witnessing the incident and the lasting emotional impact it has had on their family.

Morasi also discusses his efforts to file complaints, obtain body camera footage, and seek answers about what happened that day.
